Farmer Protest Sarwan Singh Pandher Claims Central Modi Government Suspend Social Media and You Tube Accounts


Farmer Protest: Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher on Friday (February 16, 2024) accused the central government of trying to suppress the voice of the protesters. He also claimed that the social media accounts of farmers and YouTubers have been suspended.

Pandher said on Friday that during the meeting with Union Ministers on Thursday (February 15, 2024), we had raised the issue of suspending the accounts of farmer leaders on the internet and social media platform X. He also alleged that since the government has suspended the accounts of about 70 YouTubers showing the farmers’ movement, it seems that “the government wants to suppress our voice.” ,

What did you claim?
Pandher said that during talks with Union ministers, he raised the issue of use of force on farmers by paramilitary forces deployed on the Punjab-Haryana border. He claimed that about 70 farmers have suffered serious injuries in the action of Haryana security personnel on Shambhu and Khanauri borders.

The farmer leader said that the talks with the Union Ministers were held in a positive atmosphere. Various demands of the protesters including making law on Minimum Support Price (MSP) and loan waiver were discussed.

What did you demand?
Pandher said that the government said that it wants to continue the talks. He also said that his ‘Delhi Chalo’ call still remains and the protesters are at the Punjab-Haryana border so that a solution can be found through talks.

Pandher had said that during the meeting with ministers, he raised the issue of firing of tear gas shells by paramilitary forces on farmers at Shambhu and Khanauri border. He said that during the meeting he also showed shell casings to the ministers. Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal demanded the release of those farmers who have been either arrested or detained by the Haryana Police.

Let us tell you that the third round of talks between farmer leaders and Union Ministers on various demands including legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) remained inconclusive late on Thursday night and now the next round of meeting between the two sides will be held on February 18.
