So many billion children in the world are victims of malnutrition, these figures will surprise you

The big concern of today is that 1.4 billion children of the world, whose age is between 0 to 15 years, are outside the scope of social security. These children, who are called the future of our society, are living under the deep shadow of disease, hunger and poverty. When these children fall ill or are in dire need of nutrition, they have no one to lend a helping hand. This data has been released by organizations like International Labor Organization, Save the Child and UNICEF.

Nine out of ten children affected
In low-income countries around the world, the state of child benefit is extremely disappointing. There is not at least one out of every ten children who is able to avail the benefits of this kind of social security. In comparison, this facility is much more accessible to children in rich countries. This huge inequality clearly shows that children in poor countries are deprived of those protections and opportunities which are essential for their bright future. This inequality has a deep impact not only on their present but also on their future.

Lack of basic facilities
According to the figures released, there has been a modest increase in access to child benefits over the last 14 years. While only 20% of children globally were able to access these benefits in 2009, this percentage will increase to 28.1% in 2023. Nevertheless, the disparity in this progress is clearly visible. While in high-income countries about 84.6% of children are receiving child benefit, in low-income countries this rate is much lower, only around 9%. This gap not only reflects economic disparity, but also shows how far we still lag behind in providing the basic needs of life to children in developing countries.

33.3 crore children are affected by poverty
About 333 million children in the world are living in such a situation where they do not even have money for their basic daily needs. These children try to survive on less than US$2.15 every day. In addition, there are more than one billion children who are trapped in various aspects of poverty and face many problems every day. This situation is very worrying and needs to be changed.
