1. Naveen Patnaik
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is the number-1 CM in the country in terms of acceptability and popularity. According to the survey, Naveen Patnaik’s popularity rating is 52.7 percent. He has been the Chief Minister of Odisha for five consecutive terms. BJD’s Naveen Patnaik is the third leader after Chamling and Jyoti Basu to become CM for five consecutive terms.
2. Yogi Adityanath
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Has secured second place with 51.3 percent popularity rating. This is his second term as Chief Minister.
3. Himanta Biswa Sarma
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is the third most popular CM. Himanta Biswa Sarma has got 48.6 percent rating in this survey.
4. Bhupendra Bhai Patel
The name of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel has also appeared in this survey. He is at fourth position as a popular and acceptable CM. He has got 42.6 percent rating.
5. Manik Saha
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha is at fifth position with 41.4 percent popularity rating. He is quite popular among the people of Tripura. People praise his simplicity, dedication and honesty.
Yogi Adityanath’s graph is increasing
In the recent survey conducted in terms of popularity and acceptability, UP CM Yogi Adityanath may have slipped to second place, but in the beginning of February, he had achieved a new position. With then 27.4 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), he Narendra Modi (95.2 million) and Union Home Minister Amit Shah (34.4 million) and emerged as the third most followed Indian politician.
Yogi number-1 CM in the survey conducted at the country level
Apart from this, in the India Today Mood of the Nation (MOTN) poll in the beginning of February, UP CM Yogi Adityanath was ranked number-1 among 30 Chief Ministers for the eighth consecutive time. His popularity is continuously increasing. In the survey conducted in February this year, where 46.3 percent people considered him the best CM, in August 2023, 43 percent people considered Yogi Adityanath the best CM. The surprising thing is that there is a big difference between Yogi Adityanath and the CMs who come after him in the ranking. In the survey conducted across India, only 19.6 percent people consider Arvind Kejriwal as the best CM.
