Delhi Police organized Pedestrian Day at Connaught Place Inner Circle as part of Delhi Police Road Safety Week. The traffic police has made an analogy of road safety with Ludo. DCP Traffic Shashank Jaiswal says, ‘It is organized by Delhi Traffic Police. People’s safety is our objective. We run campaigns and plays to spread awareness and connect with the youth. We have made an analogy of road safety with Ludo.

“We are involving youth and children,” he said. Children are innocent and hence their messages change the mindset. The rate of accidents has reduced. The pressure on the roads has increased, but our campaigns and road engineering have reduced the accident rate proportionately. We analyze the data and our Road Engineering and Research Cell uses the data and tries to implement it in road engineering and campaigns.
