These days severe cold and fog have gripped North India. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dense fog for a few days along with severe cold. The biggest impact of the weather has been on traffic and transportation. There is red alert in North India due to dense fog and night bus service has been banned in UP.

According to news agency ANI, due to inclement weather in Chandigarh, Varanasi and Lucknow, flights have been returned/diverted to Delhi (03 flights). DIAL has informed that the visibility at Delhi airport is normal and flights are running smoothly.
