Which planet has 2 suns? Where sunset happens twice a day, NASA told

The story of space is also quite interesting. By now you must have heard about a sun. There is one Sun in our solar system, around which all the planets revolve. But do you know that there is a planet which has not one but 2 suns. Just a few months ago, the American space agency NASA has discovered this planet.

According to NASA, this planet is at a distance of about 200 light years from the Earth. It has been named Kepler-16B. It is believed that this planet is also made of cold gases like Saturn. NASA’s powerful telescope Kepler saw this incredible view of space. This planet can be compared to the Tatooine planet of the Hollywood fictional film Star War. However, NASA clarified that there is no indication that there is any Earth-like life on this planet.

much smaller than Earth’s Sun
You will be surprised to know that there are two sunsets there. Because there are two suns, sunrise also happens twice. However, scientists say that both the suns of Kepler-16b appear much smaller than the Earth’s sun. The mass of the first Sun is 69 percent of the mass of the Earth’s Sun, while the mass of the second is only 20 percent. NASA estimates that the temperature of this planet is around minus 73 to 101 degrees Celsius. Both the suns revolve every 229 days.

partly made of rock
According to the American Space Agency, this planet is partially made of rock. Where liquid water may exist. When it was discovered in 2011, scientist Bill Borucki had said that perhaps there could be possibilities of life on this planet. But later investigation revealed that this did not seem possible. NASA installed the Kepler telescope in 2009 so that it could capture views of the Milky Way of Earth-like planets.
