Four people, including a father and son returning from Ramdhuni, died in a road accident. The incident took place near Baijnathpur Ram Jiwasa under Budhwa OP area of Udakishunganj subdivision. Two children are also among those who died. In this incident, Sumit Kumar (22), resident of Gorpara Shahzadpur, Subhash Ram, resident of Baijnathpur Budhama Ward 6, Subhash Ram’s 11-year-old son and Sanjay Ram’s daughter died on the spot, while Sonu Kumar (25), resident of Gorpara Shahzadpur, and Rishu. Kumar (10) was seriously injured. Seeing his serious condition, the doctors referred him for better treatment.
Head-on collision between two bikes
Regarding the incident, family members say that on Thursday evening around 7 pm, Subhash Ram was returning to Baijnathpur Gaurpara on a bike with his son-daughter and Sanjay Ram’s son after seeing the Ramdhuni organized in Budhma village. Near Baijnathpur Ramjiabasa, the bike of Sumit Kumar, resident of Gorpara Shahzadpur, who was coming from the opposite direction, collided head-on. The collision was so severe that all 6 people riding on both the bikes fell on the road. As soon as the incident happened, nearby people gathered there and hurriedly took all the injured to Udakishanganj Sub-Divisional Hospital. There Dr. AK Mishra declared Sumit Kumar, Subhash Ram, Subhash Ram’s daughter and Sanjay Ram’s son dead. Rishu Kumar, the second son of Sonu Kumar and Subhash Ram, was seriously injured and was referred by the doctors to Madhepura Medical College for better treatment.
Police engaged in investigation
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and then the hospital. Then SDPO Avinash Kumar and Police Station Head Raghav Sharan also reached there. He told that the post mortem process is being done.
