The body of a woman was found in a suspicious condition in a house in Bhadwas village of Mahua police station area of Vaishali, Bihar. After this incident came to light, sensation spread in the entire village. As soon as information about the incident was received, nearby people gathered at the spot. After this the villagers informed the Mahua police station about the incident. On receiving the information, police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital Hajipur for post-mortem.
At the same time, the deceased woman has been identified as Aarti Devi (20), wife of Santosh Kumar, resident of Bhadwas. At the same time, as soon as information about the incident was received, the deceased’s maternal family reached their daughter’s house. The parents of the deceased have accused the in-laws including the husband of strangulating her to death.
According to the information, Vimal Kishore Rai, resident of Baban Ghat of Mahua police station area, married his daughter Aarti Kumari as per Hindu customs with Santosh Kumar, resident of Bhadwas village, a year ago. Kishore Rai told that at the time of marriage, he had also given cash and goods etc. as gift (dowry). He alleged that the boy’s family was demanding a Bullet bike after marriage. For this, many times Aarti’s husband and his family members used to beat and abuse her.
The brother of the deceased said that after not giving her the Bullet bike, her husband and other people strangulated her to death and then called and informed that Aarti had committed suicide by hanging herself. When we went to his house after getting the information, the body was lying at the door and everyone had fled.
Here, regarding this matter, Mahua police station incharge Ajay Paswan said that the dead body of the married woman has been recovered from Bhadwas village. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. No one has given any written application in this matter. Action will be taken upon receipt of the application.
