There is a festive atmosphere at Govindpuri and Anwarganj railway stations in Kanpur. The beating of drums, colorful flower decorations, attractive rangoli and attractively decorated pandal are testifying to the special event on Monday. The occasion is to organize the online foundation stone laying ceremony of Amrit Bharat stations and the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of ROB and RUB by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Preparations for which were going on for several days. Cultural programs are also being organized on this occasion.
Many intellectuals including Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan, Mahant Krishnadas of Panki Dham Temple were present at Govindpuri Railway Station. MP Satyadev Pachauri and others were present at Anwarganj station. Many types of events will be organized in the function. School students will be honored with cultural programs. MPs, MLAs and other public representatives are expected to attend the function.
GRP, RPF and Railway staff handled the security arrangements of both the stations. The foundation stone of one ROB, three RUBs will be laid in Kanpur Dehat, while one ROB will be laid between Jhinjhak and Kanchausi. Facilities are being increased at stations under Amrit Bharat Yojana. Which includes state-of-the-art waiting room, lodge, parking, office, platform etc. The old building of Anwarganj railway station is being demolished and a new building is being constructed, while the work of upgradation of Govindpuri railway station is going on. The deadline for completion of construction work at both the stations is by the end of this year.
