Pankaj Udhas Death: Pankaj Udhas has said goodbye to the world at the age of 72. Everyone from the Bollywood world to the fans are in shock due to his departure. The cause of Pankaj’s death is said to be pancreatic cancer, the news of which was known to him only four months ago. The ghazal singer was undergoing treatment in the hospital and during this time he lost the battle of life.
Pankaj Udhas may not be in this world but he will always be alive in the hearts of people through his ghazals and his voice in songs. There were many ups and downs in the life of Pankaj, who traveled from Gujarat to Mumbai. The limit was reached when even after becoming famous, a fan asked him to recite a ghazal at gunpoint. Pankaj himself had once revealed this during Kapil Sharma’s show.
The fan had requested for the song
While talking in Kapil Sharma’s show, Pankaj Udhas had told that once in his live concert, a fan requested him to sing and when he did not listen, he showed him a pistol. Talking about the matter, Pankaj Udhas had said, ‘Once I was sitting in a gathering and singing a ghazal. I must have sung 3 to 4 ghazals. Then a gentleman came to me and said, brother, if there is such and such a ghazal, then sing it now. I said, why should I sing it now brother, I am not a slave of anyone and I will sing it whenever you say it.
Pankaj was scared
Pankaj tells that after some time the man took out a pistol from his pocket and started waving it around. Pankaj said- ‘Only I know my condition after that.’
