The incident of stone throwing at a goods train on the Mathura-Kasganj railway section at around 7.15 am on 26 February created panic in the Railways. On the information of the train driver, the Railway Administration sent the Railway Protection Force to the spot, but it turned out to be the case of children throwing stones.

The goods train left for Sikandrarau at around seven in the morning. As soon as the goods train crossed Rati Ka Nagla station, the driver saw more than 200 people sitting on the railway track. Taking caution, the driver stopped the train. When the vehicle stopped and started moving, these people started throwing stones at the brakes.
