1 pinch asafoetida
5-6 curry leaves
1 small bowl grated coconut

Make delicious Khichdi like this
Wash and clean moong dal and rice. First put grated coconut in a bowl, then add turmeric, chopped coriander and some red chilli in it. Now add moong dal and rice to this mixture. This has become the mixture of your Khichdi.
Now heat 2 spoons of ghee in the pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds in hot ghee. After the cumin seeds crackle, add asafoetida and curry leaves. Now put the Khichdi mixture in the cooker. Stir it with a spoon and add 2 glasses of water to it. Now add salt as per taste. Remember, Khichdi contains both pulses and rice, hence more water is added to it.
Close the lid of the cooker and take one or two whistles. After the first whistle of the cooker, keep the gas between medium and low. Switch off the cooker after 2 whistles.
