Earlier only Kalakand normal sweet was available, but now this sweet is being prepared from banana.
When Local 18 team spoke to Kundan Sweets operator Shammi Deora, he told that earlier sweets were made only from mawa, but now banana from Burhanpur district has also been included in the One District One product. Therefore, Kalakand sweet is being made from banana. Its taste is so good that people are ordering it. This Kalakand sweet is being sold for only ₹ 600 per kg.
People are liking to eat this sweet more than mawa sweets. This Kalakand sweet is prepared in just 4 hours and it does not spoil for two days. No chemical of any kind is added to it. This Kalakand sweet is prepared by adding original banana and sugar.

Banana is included in one district one product. Banana is cultivated in 22 thousand hectares in Burhanpur district. Banana is easily available here. Therefore, now sweets are also being prepared from bananas. Till now people used to eat only bananas. But now the establishment operators are making innovations and making sweets also. Now people are also liking these sweets.
