UAE Latest News: The United Arab Emirates is making new achievements on the world stage day by day. On barren land where people were once in need of water. At present this barren land has become a hub of tourism. UAE, which builds big and magnificent buildings, is now going to build the world’s largest airport. The name of this airport is said to be Al Maktoum International Airport. It is also known as Dubai World Central.
The work of building this airport was started by the United Arab Emirates in 2013. If we look at CNN’s report, this airport is being redesigned with the help of new technology to increase its capacity. According to the old design, the capacity of this airport was said to be around 10 crore passengers. However, the government wants to further increase its capacity by 2 crore passengers.
According to Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airport, he is thinking of increasing investment in this airport keeping in mind the convenience of the customers. According to a forecast, 8.82 crore passengers are expected to travel through this airport in 2024 and 9.38 crore in 2025.
During a special conversation with a magazine, Griffith had said that we are not just building the world’s largest airport, but we want to revolutionize the airport business.
He further said that we want to provide such facilities to the passengers at the airport which will save their time. This is our biggest plan. Under this plan, about 145 square km of space is being taken in South Dubai. We have also envisioned the construction of a new city here.
