Shimla. Marriage is such a bond which every person wants to make memorable. If someone is getting married in the house, then preparations start several days or even months in advance. So that there is no shortage left on the wedding day. The give and take of wedding, food and drink, and apart from this the most important thing is to serve the guests and keep them happy, is a big task. But apart from all these things, there is one marriage which is making headlines for its own reasons.

This is the marriage of Ranjeet and his girlfriend. Who chose Himachal Pradesh for their destination wedding to make their wedding special. This destination wedding took place in the cold desert of Himachal Pradesh. According to the information, the wedding was organized amidst snow in Moorang village of Udaipur division of Spiti, Himachal. During this time, there was a white sheet of snow spread all around the valley and the pavilion was decorated here.

Now the record for the Longest Road Trip Wedding Expedition has been registered in their name and a certificate has been given to the couple. The bride in marriage belongs to Gujarat, but now lives in Mumbai. Whereas, the groom Ranjit Srinivas is a resident of Kerala. He does business in Dubai. Bride Arya Bura told that she had come to Spiti as a solo traveler in 2021 and 2023 in her Thar called Sherni. He liked the beauty of this place very much. Since then he had a special desire for this place in his heart. Let us tell you, both were in a relationship with each other for 13 years.

When both of them had done the ring ceremony in Mumbai, at that very moment Spiti had decided to get married. When the proposal of having a destination wedding in Spiti itself was put forward to the family members, it was quite challenging to convince the family members. Let us tell you, Ranjit does business in Dubai and he was interested in getting married in Dubai, while his family wanted to get married in Kerala. Arya’s family was in favor of getting married in Gujarat. But Bura Spiti wanted to get married. He had to work very hard to convince both the families for this marriage.

Wedding ceremonies amid snowfall

Both wanted to set up a pavilion in the snow and complete all the rituals as per Hindu customs on 26 February 2024. For this, they were discussing Langcha and other places, but due to less snow, they decided to get married in Moorang. Bura told that he had made all the arrangements himself along with the wedding planner. When the wedding was taking place, it was snowing lightly. I am very happy that I started my new life with the mountains I love. Spiti is a very good location for destination wedding.

Marriage registered in India Book of Records

Bura told that this is the longest destination wedding. This marriage has been registered in the India Book of Records. His team came here and has also given us a certificate. He said that this “The Longest Road Trip Wedding Expedition” has been organized by Manpreet, owner of “Overlanding Ring” company of Chandigarh. He said that everyone was staying in “Social Courtyard” home stay in Rangrik village of Spiti. There was a wonderful arrangement here.

Spiti has become my home – bride

Arya tells that the local people there participated in her wedding and now Spiti has become her home. I would also like to tell other couples to come to Spiti to get married. There is not just one location here, but dozens of locations. One can get married in the middle of spectacularly beautiful hills with less people and at less expense. We had arranged all the arrangements from Delhi, but all the arrangements are available in Shimla or other places also. Parents could not come to this wedding because of the high altitude. Ranjit Srikant said that this dream was of Arya Bura. Coming here is complete. I cannot express this happiness in words.
