Chief Minister Nitish Kumar filed his nomination forms in the Legislative Council. Lalan Singh, Ashok Chaudhary and others were also present there along with him. The tenure of many MLCs including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is ending. Bihar Assembly Council elections are to be held before the Lok Sabha elections, the notification of which has already been issued. Elections are to be held on 11 seats from the assembly quota.

The tenure of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, including Khalid Anwar, Rameshwar Mahato and Sanjay Jha, who have now moved to Rajya Sabha, is ending. The tenure of Shahnawaz Hussain, Sanjay Paswan and Mangal Pandey in Bharatiya Janata Party is ending. Whereas the tenure of former Chief Ministers Rabri Devi and Ramchandra Purve from Rashtriya Janata Dal, Santosh Kumar Suman from Hindustan Awami Morcha is ending.
These parties including BJP have not fielded candidates yet
Bharatiya Janata Party has not yet announced the names of its candidates. The tenure of BJP MLCs Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, Mangal Pandey and Sanjay Paswan is ending. On the other hand, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress have also not announced the names of their candidates yet. Political experts say that former Chief Minister Rabri Devi can be the candidate from Rashtriya Janata Dal. From the Congress side, Premchand Mishra is still hanging between yes and no.
