Congress Candidates List 2024: Congress has Lok Sabha Elections The first list of names of 39 candidates for 2024 was released on Friday (8 March), in which National General Secretary of PTI KC Venugopal has also been fielded. The party has given ticket to KC Venugopal from Alappuzha Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. Venugopal himself told why the party has given him the ticket from here?

The important thing is that KC Venugopal is already a Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan. Despite this, Congress has decided to field its senior leader in the Lok Sabha elections. His name has also been included in the first list of 39 candidates of Congress. A major reason behind this is believed to be that he has been winning from Alappuzha Lok Sabha seat in Kerala from 2009 to 2019.

KC Venugopal left this seat in 2019

KC Venugopal did not contest the 2019 elections from this seat and went to Rajya Sabha in 2020. Due to his not contesting elections from this seat, this seat had slipped from the hands of Congress, but with great faith in him, the party has again fielded him from this seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In the 2019 elections, Congress had fielded Shanimol Usman from Alappuzha Lok Sabha seat, who was defeated by CPM’s AM Arif.

KC Venugopal also said that it is very clear that this Lok Sabha election will decide the future of the country. Congress’s aim is to win as many seats as possible in this Lok Sabha elections. He also talked about removing the central government, calling it a fascist government. He said that he is trying everything he can to win as many seats as possible.

Candidates declared for 16 seats in Kerala

Congress on Friday announced candidates for 16 seats in Kerala state in the first list of candidates. These include Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad, Shashi Tharoor from Thiruvananthapuram, Rajmohan Unnithan from Kasaragod, K Sudhakaran from Kannur, Shafi Parambil from Vadakara, MK Raghavan from Kozhikode, VK Srikandan from Palakkad, Ramya Haridas from Alathur (SC), K Muraleedharan from Thrissur, Chalakudy. Benny Behanan from SC, Hibi Eden from Ernakulam, Dean Kuriakose from Idukki, K Suresh from Mavelikkara (SC), Anto Antony from Pathanamthitta and Adoor Prakash from Attingal seat have been given tickets.
