In an exclusive conversation with Local 18, mother-in-law Pushpa Verma said that she has been selling appe in Sector 4 for the last one month. The idea of this unique idea came to him at his daughter Swati’s in-laws house. Here he tasted Appe for the first time. After that she decided to open a stall and now she is selling on the streets from her car with the help of her daughter-in-law Nidhi and son Ujjwal.
The cost of one plate appe is Rs 50.
Pushpa told that her son Ujjwal works as an employee in a private telecom company. At the same time, his daughter-in-law Nidhi is a housewife. Currently she is preparing for the nursing exam. Both of them spare time to help him in this work. Regarding the recipe of making appe, mother-in-law told Pushpa that first of all the batter is prepared with a mixture of semolina, curd and salt. Then green vegetables like carrots, capsicum, curry leaves, finely chopped onions are mixed inside it. After this, curry leaves and mustard seeds are heated in hot oil and added to the batter. After it is prepared in a tray, it is served to the customer with almonds and green chutney.
Earning Rs 1500 in a day
Daughter-in-law Nidhi told that the price of half plate appe at her place is Rs 30. In which 6 pieces of appe are given to the customer. The price of one plate is Rs 50. In which the customer is given 10 pieces of appe. At the same time, he sells Appe every day from 6:00 pm to 8 pm. Every day 200 pieces of appe are sold at his stall. Earning of Rs 1500 in a day. At the same time, his family’s goal is to start their own stall in the future. So that everyone can enjoy the benefit of delicious food. Gunja, the customer who came to eat the appe, said that the appe is very tasty to eat. Its taste is exactly like home.
