DIY Chia Seeds Face Mask

Ingredients

2 of chia seeds tablespoons
4 tablespoons water (or green tea for an extra antioxidant boost)
1 tablespoon honey (raw)
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for glow boost)

Method of preparing mask

1. Soak the chia seeds: In a small bowl, combine the chia seeds with water (or green tea) and let them soak for about 15 minutes or until they have a gel-like consistency.

2. Mix honey and lemon juice: Once the chia seeds have absorbed the liquid, add honey and lemon juice to the mixture. Honey acts as a natural humectant, which retains moisture. Whereas lemon juice improves the complexion of the skin and gives an even tone skin.

3. Mix well: Stir all the ingredients together until well mixed, making sure the honey is evenly incorporated throughout the mixture.

4. Apply the mask: Apply the chia seeds face mask on the face with the help of clean fingers or a brush. But keep in mind that before applying the mask, clean the face and then spread the mask evenly on it. Apply carefully around the eyes.

5. Let it dry: Leave the mask on for about 15-20 minutes or until it dries. As it dries, you may feel a slight tightening of your skin, which is normal.

6. Rinse: Once the mask dries completely, massage gently in circular motions to remove dead skin cells and wash off with lukewarm water.

7. Moisturize: Remember to moisturize the skin after applying any kind of mask.
