California Latest News: In view of the increasing craze of children for snacks in California schools, lawmakers have passed a special bill. In fact, MPs believe that eating and drinking foods like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Doritos and Mountain Dew is having a negative impact on the health of students. Keeping this in mind, they have introduced a special bill to ban it.
According to the MPs, the sole purpose of this bill is to free children from harmful foods. These food items contain artificial elements like 40 percent red, 1 percent blue and titanium dioxide.
Harmful colors are being used in Cheetos and Doritos
Cheetos and Doritos contain 40 percent red, 5 percent yellow and 6 percent blue. Hopefully, after the bill is passed, these harmful things will be banned. Not only this, items like Fruity Pebbles and Fruit Loops are made using yellow and red colors as well as blue.
Titanium dioxide is being used in soup and cheese brands
According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, some soup and cheese brands are made using titanium dioxide. Speaking at a press conference, State Assembly member Jesse Gabriel said that this bill is meant to protect our students from chemicals that are harming children as well as hindering their ability to learn.
