1952 Gem collector and dealer Arthur Penn discovered two crystals in Myanmar. These looked like rubies, but were actually much rarer than that. Pennite is named after Arthur Penn. According to the information, penite was found along with ruby ​​and other gems, due to which Penn thought that it was ruby. He donated it to the British Museum in 1954 for further study. The second sample of Penite was found in Myanmar in 1979 and the third sample was found in Myanmar in 2001. Let us tell you that these are the only three samples of Penite in the whole world.
