High blood sugar can become a threat to the small blood vessels in the body. This causes harm to them. Increase in blood sugar can also be fatal. However, signs of increasing blood sugar level already start appearing on the body. If identified at the right time, the problems can be controlled in advance.

1. Blurred vision

According to experts, when the blood sugar level is high, the blood vessels in the retina start getting affected. Due to which many types of problems related to eyes can occur. In this, vision becomes blurred and there may be a complaint of cataract. Apart from this, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy are included. In such a situation, you should talk to the doctor immediately.

2. Loss of sensation or injury in the legs

When sugar level increases, feet are affected in two ways. First- Some kind of sensation can also be felt in the leg. Second- Blood flow in the legs does not occur properly. It becomes difficult for you to heal your leg injuries.

3. Vein problems

High blood sugar can cause damage to the nervous system. It is also called diabetic neuropathy. There may be problems like numbness or pain. Apart from this, symptoms like tingling, burning sensation, severe pain and cramps can also be seen.

4. Frequent urination

According to health experts, there are small blood vessels in the kidney which enhance its functioning. High blood sugar levels can damage these vessels, which can lead to kidney disease. In such a situation, problems like frequent urination, protein in urine, swelling in feet, ankles, hands and eyes, nausea, vomiting and fatigue can occur.

5. Stroke or heart disease

High blood sugar can cause damage to blood vessels. Due to which the risk of stroke and heart disease increases manifold. In such a situation, if you notice any heart related problems, you should immediately go to a doctor.

6. Bleeding from gums

According to health experts, gum disease i.e. periodontal disease can also be caused by high blood sugar. Due to this, blood flow in the gums reduces due to blockage or thickening of blood vessels. Due to which the muscles start becoming weak. Due to this, bacteria increases, which becomes the cause of gum disease. In these, problems like bleeding gums, weakness and pain in gums start occurring.
