All of you must have noticed that people whose fan following is good on social media, they review or promote different products. With time, the way of advertising has also changed. Companies or big brands now give social media influencers to promote products. Till now, when companies used to give a person to promote the product, then the person did not inform his followers whether he has been paid for this or not. But, now under the new rule, the social media influencer will have to keep this information in front of his followers. Huh. Through their thoughts, they ask their followers to buy the product. The general public gets into the influencer’s words and starts using the product. This benefits both the company and the influencer. Till now the government had not made any rules regarding social media influencers. But, now the government is trying to come up with rules to stop this practice. The new rule will not only apply to social media influencers but will also apply to celebrities, financial influencers etc.

If you make a mistake

If If an influencer does not inform his followers about proxy tree promotion on any platform or about paid products, then a complaint can be filed with the Central Consumer Protection Authority CCPA and they can be fined up to 50 lakhs. Penalty can be imposed.

Tax will have to be paid

Under the new rule, now the social media influencer will also have to pay tax on the product. If an influencer keeps the product given by any company or brand, then he will have to pay tax for it. However, if he reviews the product and returns it to the company, then in this case tax will not have to be paid. So far, if a company gave a product to an influencer, no tax was charged on it.
