Hardeep Singh Nijjar Murder Justin Trudeau Says Canada Aiming To Work Constructively With India

Justin Trudeau On Nijjar Murder: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has given a latest statement on the murder of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Trudeau has said his country is aiming to work constructively with New Delhi to get to the bottom of the matter.

Khalistan supporter and terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead outside a Gurudwara in Surrey, British Columbia on June 18 last year.

Did Justin Trudeau say anything about the murder of terrorist Nijjar?

Responding to a question during a media event in Vancouver, British Columbia on Wednesday (March 27), Trudeau did not provide any update on the progress of the murder investigation but said, “We are getting to the bottom of it,” HT reported. “We look forward to working constructively with the Indian government to understand how this could have happened and to ensure that no Canadian is ever unsafe again.”

Trudeau also said that there is rule of law in his government. “We have been clear about ensuring a proper investigation in accordance with our justice system and the independence of the police,” he said.

Justin Trudeau had made this allegation last year

Relations between India and Canada became strained when Justin Trudeau in the House of Commons on September 18 last year alleged the involvement of Indian agents in Nijjar’s murder. However, India rejected the allegations and termed them absurd.

Canada had assigned its Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) to investigate this case. More than nine months have passed since then but no arrest has been announced yet and no evidence has been provided.
