Expansion
The 250 km journey from Lucknow to Bareilly is no longer full of hiccups like before. Once the construction of the railway overbridge in Sitapur is completed, the problem of traffic jam will be solved, but the expected pace of work was not seen here. Arvind Sharma of Sitapur says, the four toll booths between Lucknow and Bareilly should have been started only when all the bridges were constructed.
If this condition had been there then the construction of the road would have been completed soon. However, with the commencement of bypass in Shahjahanpur, traveling on this highway definitely becomes enjoyable. When we entered Bareilly border after Shahjahanpur, the view was changed. The roads were wide and there were far fewer heavy vehicles inside the city than before.
With the construction of railway overbridge at Lal Phatak in the cantonment, it has become easier to reach Amla and Badaun. However, if you lose your way, you will have to go to Badaun via Chaupula Overbridge, which is no less painful due to the constant traffic jam. As soon as we reached Ramganga Nagar behind Rohelkhand University after cutting from Pilibhit Bypass Road, we found Bareilly city testifying to planned development. A lot of work has been done here in the last 3-4 years.
Where did the textile park plan go?
Bareilly –Raghavendra Singh runs coaching in Bareilly. He says, as much work was done in the field of employment in Ruhilkhand as was expected. For years, only news has been coming about setting up an industry on the land of the rubber factory that was closed in the nineties, nothing has happened in reality. Saurabh Parashari says, it was announced to build a textile park in the year 2014, but this plan has not taken shape yet.
