How to cultivate fenugreek?

Cultivating fenugreek is not a very difficult task. First of all, leave the fenugreek seeds soaked in water for about 7 to 12 hours before sowing. After this, prepare chemical treatment with 4 grams Thiram and 50% Carbendazim. Plant fenugreek seeds in the fields after 8 hours of the treatment process. The soil with pH value of 6 to 7 is suitable for fenugreek cultivation.

The months of August and September are best for its sowing. In hilly areas, sowing can be done from July to August. Fenugreek plants do not require much irrigation. Seeds need moisture to germinate, so keep irrigating the field while maintaining complete moisture in the field.

Can be harvested after 4 months

The fenugreek crop takes four to four and a half months to be ready. It can be harvested when the leaves of its plants turn yellow. After harvesting, it is also important to dry the crop properly in the sun. Both the dried crops are separated by the machine. The yield in one hectare is about 12 quintals. If we talk about its price, its price in the market is up to ₹ 5000 per quintal, in such a situation good profit can be earned from fenugreek crop.
