Expansion
Bahubali and former MLA Munna Shukla, who reached Rabri residence to collect the symbol of Rashtriya Janata Dal from Vaishali Lok Sabha seat, has given a controversial statement. When the media asked Shukla, who was preparing for the Lok Sabha elections, whether the votes of Bhumihars would be divided in Vaishali, he said that we are also Bhumihars. We are not cobblers. (Meaning he said that I am also a Bhumihar, I am not a cobbler). After this statement there was a stir in the political circles.
Also apologized after the statement
I had no such sentiments regarding the caste-specific tagline being run on social media today. I do not want to hurt any particular class or caste. I respect all castes and groups. I don’t want to make anyone sad. If my statement has hurt any section of people, I apologize for it.
Minister Brij Bihari went to jail in the murder case
Let us tell you that Munna Shukla has also been an independent MLA from Lalganj assembly constituency of Vaishali district in 2000. At the same time, after winning the elections from LJP in February and from JDU in November in 2005, strongman leader Munna Shukla had to go to jail in the murder case of Bihar government minister Brij Bihari. After that Bahubali made his wife Anu Shukla an MLA on JDU ticket.
Have tried luck with Vaishali before also
In the year 2004, Munna Shukla contested the Lok Sabha elections as an independent, in which he got about two lakh 56 thousand votes. At the same time, in 2009 he contested elections on JDU ticket, in which he got 2 lakh 63 thousand votes. The contest is going to be interesting after Munna Shukla enters the electoral fray from Vaishali Lok Sabha. Where Rajput candidates have dominated Vaishali Lok Sabha for many decades. At the same time, this time Bhumihar candidates are also trying their luck on Vaishali Lok Sabha seat. Even before Vaishali Lok Sabha, Munna Shukla has tried his luck.
