How to make tadka dal in microwave
Today we will tell you the method of making tadka dal in microwave. First of all, take half a cup of toor dal and half a cup of chana dal. Mix both the pulses and then put them in a large microwave safe bowl. Now add 2 cups (as per need) water to it and add half teaspoon turmeric and salt as per taste. Now put the bowl in the microwave and set the timer for 20 minutes. During this, the power of the microwave will be sufficient at 900-1000 watts.

After 20 minutes take out the bowl from the microwave. You will see the dal thickening and most of its water would have been absorbed. After this, mash the lentils and add half a cup of water to it. After this keep the dal aside.
Now prepare the tadka with the help of microwave. For this, take a microwave safe bowl and put 2 tbsp ghee in it. Now add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 pinch asafoetida, 1 bay leaf, 1 dry red chili, 1 chopped onion and 1 chopped tomato. After this add coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala and mix it. Now keep the bowl in the microwave for 4-5 minutes. After this take out the bowl, the tempering is ready.

Now finally put the prepared tempering in the pre-cooked bowl and add 1 cup of water and mix it well. After this, cover the bowl of lentils and cook the lentils once again in the microwave for 3-4 minutes. Now your tadka dal is completely ready to serve. You can garnish it with green coriander leaves and serve it with roti, rice.
