How to get an NGO registered?
If you are thinking of opening your own non-governmental organization i.e. NGO in India. Then you have to follow a long process. To register an NGO, first of all you need to know what work your NGO is going to do. This makes it easier for you to register. To get NGO registration in India, you have to register the trust under the Indian Trust Act.
To get a trust registered, it is necessary to have at least two persons. There is no maximum number of people in this. So, if something is registered as a society then it is mandatory to have at least seven people in it. It is easier to get the trust registered than the society under the Indian Trust Act.
NGO can be registered in three ways
NGO can be registered in three ways. NGO can be registered as a company under the Companies Act, 2013. Along with this, a trust can be registered under the Indian Trust Act. Along with this, it can also be registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act.
These documents are necessary
Memorandum of the NGO or three copies of the Articles of Association on which all the information about the NGO is recorded. Founder’s name, occupation and business address. Total assets of the organization 7 days after its registration. Along with this, some more documents are required. If any wrong information is given in any of these documents. Then NGOs can be banned.
