Meta New Update: Facebook’s parent company Meta has made a big announcement regarding Artificial Intelligence. Actually, the company is going to make some new changes in its rules in the month of May this year. According to Meta, from May the company will start applying Made with AI label to videos, images and audio created with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Facebook, Instagram and threads.
It was advised by Meta’s Oversight Board that the company should expand its scope and include the content created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its rules.
‘We are going to change our policies…’
Meta said in its statement that we are going to change our policies to deal with content manipulation, deepfakes and lies. Due to this, the content created using AI tools will be given distinct identity by labeling it, so that the user can know that this content has been created with the help of AI, which will make it much easier to identify them.
Will be labeled Made with AI
Meta’s Content Policy Vice President Monica Bickert said in a blog post that we will label AI generated images, AI generated videos and audios as ‘Made with AI’. Although we already label real-looking images created using AI tools as ‘imagined with AI’, this is about to become even more clear.
Bickert also said that Meta has found a way to capture images created by other companies’ generative AI tools, but it is not yet known when it will be implemented. According to the information, these rules will be applicable only on Facebook, Instagram and threads. There are different rules for WhatsApp and other services.
