Again action has been taken against four including three officers for negligence in the security of EVM storage. Along with this, the constable who absconded from duty on the day of the incident has also been suspended. On April 2, this case was transferred by taking action against DM Raj Kumar and SP Pramod Kumar on the orders of the Election Commission of India. Apart from this, instructions were also given to suspend the DSP and the police station head, after which the DIG was investigating the point of lapse in security. During the investigation, prima facie Line DSP Rakesh Ranjan, Divwa branch in-charge Sergeant Pushpanjali and Nawada police station incharge Rakesh Kumar Singh have been found guilty of indifference in the standards of EVM security.
