Before the Lok Sabha elections, Dibiyapur Police has busted an illegal arms manufacturing factory. The illegal factory operator has been arrested and equipment and many illegal weapons have been recovered. The son of the factory operator could not be caught by the police.

Superintendent of Police Charu Nigam said that under the leadership of Dibiyapur police station in-charge Mukesh Babu Chauhan, Inspector Gyanendra Singh, Inspector Sudhir Bhardwaj and the police team caught an illegal arms factory operating in a hut in village Dheerpur Adda in the early hours of Thursday. Here father and son were running an illegal arms factory. In the action taken at around 3 am, the police arrested Dharam Singh, a native of Mangalpur village Tezpur in Kanpur Dehat district.

His son was not found on the spot. 14 half-made illegal weapons, cartridges, spare parts and equipment used in making weapons and a bike were recovered from the hut. The bike has been seized. Dharam Singh told during interrogation that he and his son had started this work out of greed for money. Some old and new pistols were prepared. Told that they bring the equipment for making weapons from the market and after getting it ready, sell it to the customers at huge prices. According to the Superintendent of Police, four cases have been registered against the arrested Dharam Singh for possessing illegal weapons in Auraiya and Kanpur Dehat districts.
