UK Visa New Rule: Britain has made a new plan to control the number of immigrants in its country. The British government has fixed a fixed income for immigrants living in the country from Thursday (April 11). Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has taken this decision in view of the record number of immigrants in Britain. This issue may arise in the next elections there.
British government fixed new annual income
The minimum annual income for immigrants has been fixed by the British government from 18,600 UK pounds (about 19 lakh 33 thousand) to 38,700 UK pounds (about 40 lakh 22 thousand rupees). A large number of Indians are also included in those who get visas for studies and work in Britain. Now, due to this change, it is certain that it will affect them too.
According to Sonam Arora, Founder and President of National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) UK, Indian students need graduate visa the most. From January 2024, there has been a rule not to take any relatives or known people to Britain on student visa.
Graduate Visa Review
The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) has been appointed to review the graduate visa, which allows international students to stay in the UK for up to 2 years to find employment after graduation.
According to the report of NDTV, in the year 2023, more than 3 lakh Indians had applied for visa for work in Britain. This number was 61 percent more than the year 2022. During this period, more than 1.2 lakh students got student visas, which is 11.6 percent of all foreign students studying in Britain.
NISAU President Sonam Arora On the threat of suspension of graduate route visas, Ms Arora said, “Without graduate route visas, the financial position of universities could collapse. This will impact not only international students, but also UK students. Will also have to.”
