A speeding truck crushed two brothers riding a bike on Ara-Chhapra four lane near Haripur village under Koilwar police station area of Bhojpur. In the accident, one died on the spot, while the other was seriously injured. Both were cousins. As soon as the accident happened, the driver fled from the spot with the truck. After receiving information about the incident, police from the local police station reached the spot and sent the body to Arrah Hospital for post-mortem.

The deceased was Rajesh Kumar (24), son of late Bijanandan Ram, resident of Raipur Bindgawan village under Doriganj police station area of Saran (Chhapra) district. Rajesh used to work on sand ghat. While the injured is Mukesh Kumar (15), son of Ram Babu Rai, resident of the same village and cousin of the deceased. Injured Mukesh Kumar told that he had gone to his relative’s house in Hardi Chhapra in Patna district to distribute the wedding card of Rajesh Kumar along with him. When both of them were returning to their village on bike after giving the card, a truck laden with sand coming from the opposite direction crushed them near Haripur village. As soon as the incident happened, people nearby ran there. Local people informed the local police about the incident. As soon as information about the incident was received, the local police reached the spot and started taking further action.
