– To make Sama rice upma, first wash the Sama rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
Now heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, cumin seeds and fry.
– Add green chillies and fry for a few seconds.
– Now lightly sauté carrots, green peas, etc. in it.
– Now add soaked and filtered Samak rice to the pan and also add 2-2.5 cups of water.
– Add salt and mix. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on medium flame for 12 to 15 minutes or until the Samak rice is completely cooked. When cooked, they will absorb all the water and become soft.
