Three days ago, while he was beating his wife over demand for dowry, a slipper hit the head of a 21-day-old baby in her lap. The innocent child died on Saturday morning. The police arrived on the information of the parents and sent the body of the innocent child for post-mortem. The parents have filed a complaint against the husband and in-laws demanding action.
Ombabu, a resident of Kaithal village of Chandausi Kotwali area, had married his daughter Diksha to a young man resident of a village in Chandausi Kotwali area about two years ago. It is alleged that Diksha used to fight regularly in her in-laws house. She was harassed for dowry.
Several attempts were made to convince the in-laws. Also gave money once or twice. Even after this, the in-laws used to beat Diksha. It is alleged that on Thursday, Deeksha was sitting with her innocent son Sahrosh in her lap. Meanwhile, the husband came and started beating Diksha demanding dowry.
During the fight, Sahrosh, who was in his lap, was hit on the head by a slipper. Ombabu told that he got information from the villagers that his daughter was being tortured. When he reached the village, his in-laws were missing. He informed the police about the incident over phone. After this, they took the daughter to the police station and filed a complaint.
The child was admitted to Chandausi CHC for treatment. The doctor sent the innocent child home after treatment. After which Diksha is living in her maternal home. The innocent child died on Saturday morning. Deeksha’s family informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and sent the child’s body to the PM.
