Shop operator Veena Devi lived in her maternal home even after marriage. After that she went to the brick kiln to work. After working there for 4 years, I returned to my parents’ home for the education of my children and have bought land and built a house in my parents’ village and am running a stall near Kharka bridge.
This is how Aloo Chaap is prepared
Veena tells that I bring potatoes from the market, boil them thoroughly, peel them, grind them myself with garlic, coriander, chilli, ginger etc. and prepare the masala. I prepare tikkis by mixing them with potatoes, then add them to gram flour, filter it and serve it hot as per the demand of the people.
Along with it, I serve potatoes, tomato curry and coriander leaves along with self-made chutney made from tomatoes, garlic, chillies etc. to the customers at the rate of Rs 5 per piece, the taste of which is very much liked by the people. Apart from this, Dhuska, Samosa, Kachari etc. are also available at Rs 5 per piece. Our stall is open daily from 2 pm to 6 pm.
Customer Akash told that the Aloo Chaap available here is very famous due to its taste. Vegetables and chutney are also available with Aloo Chaap. It tastes very good. Also, because it is a quiet area, it is a lot of fun. Cheaper and tastier potato chop is available here than anywhere else.
