Aam Aadmi Party has expressed strong objection on behalf of Tihar Jail administration to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal not allowing his family and close ones to meet him. AAP leaders allege that a conspiracy is being hatched to prevent them from meeting Kejriwal in jail. On Wednesday, Education Minister Atishi along with Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj was to meet the Chief Minister. For this, Atishi applied on Tuesday following all the rules, but the meeting was canceled at the last moment. MP Sandeep Pathak went to meet Bhardwaj, but he too was not allowed to meet him. Only Saurabh Bhardwaj could be found.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh says that he will write a letter against this to the Prime Minister and Lieutenant Governor on Thursday. He alleged that the administration wants to break Kejriwal’s morale, but he will not bow down. Singh held a press conference at the party headquarters and alleged that for what enmity they are taking revenge from Kejriwal’s family and his fans. Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi were to meet Kejriwal, but Atishi’s meeting was canceled on Tuesday.
Whereas Atishi followed all the rules to meet the Chief Minister and sought permission by email giving his name for a general meeting. He claimed that after this it was decided that the party’s Organization General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sandeep Pathak would go to meet Kejriwal. But, when Sandeep Pathak reached the jail to meet him, he was refused to meet him at 9:30 in the morning. No reason was given for canceling this meeting.
MP Sanjay Singh said that these people are canceling the meeting of an MP and an Education Minister. Now in future we will also cancel the meeting of his wife or anyone else with Kejriwal. He said that it took 23 days to give insulin to Kejriwal. He alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched against the party at many levels. There is 24-hour surveillance, CCTV cameras are being watched from the PMO and LG office.
Bhardwaj met Kejriwal in jail
On the other hand, after meeting Kejriwal in jail, Saurabh Bhardwaj said that he had taken an appointment at 12:30 to meet the Tihar administration. There was a conversation with the Chief Minister for about 30 half hours. Kejriwal was sitting on the other side of the glass in a window and I was sitting on the other side and I could talk to him through a phone. Both of them had a good conversation. Kejriwal has said that Delhiites should not worry about him, he is very strong.
