Baghdad Murder: Iraqi TikTok star Om Fahd was shot dead outside his home. Om Fahd’s house is in Joyoun district of eastern Baghdad and this incident happened late at night. Aljazeera gave this information on Saturday (April 27).
The attackers had come riding on a motorcycle. These people were wearing black clothes and helmets. The attacker got down from the bike and moved towards Om Fahad who was sitting in a black SUV and fired bullets at him. This incident has been captured in CCTV camera. The Interior Ministry has formed a team to investigate the circumstances of the murder.
Who is Om Fahadh?
Om Fahad’s real name is Gufran Sawadi, she used to post videos on TikTok dancing to pop music. He has more than half a million followers on TikTok. Some of his videos were viewed more than 10 lakh times. In February 2023, he was sentenced to 6 months by a lower court. He was accused of using indecent language in the video.

According to Al Jazeera’s report, it has created an online platform where Iraqi users were encouraged to report any such content being removed. Officials claimed at the time that the public had welcomed the platform and thousands of reports were filed. At the same time, after the strictness of the Ministry, some online content creators were forced to apologize and remove some of their content.
