1- The Government of India has made RT-PCR test mandatory for passengers coming from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand from January 1, 2023. People coming before these countries will have to upload their negative reports on the Air Suvidha portal. This test should be done within 72 hours of traveling to India. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed about this by tweeting.
2- Random testing of 2 percent of all passengers coming to India is being done. For this, the Union Health Ministry has already issued guidelines. This is being followed at all airports.
3- Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya held a meeting with representatives of pharma companies through video conferencing on Thursday (December 29). In this, he discussed the stock of medicines used in corona clinical management and treatment and gave some guidelines.
4-Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has asked pharma companies to keep a close watch on the global supply chain scenario. Along with this, along with the production and availability of API, attention has been asked to pay attention to the minuteness of manufacturing of medicines required for Kovid management.
5- Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has asked pharma companies to ensure adequate stock and availability of all medicines including COVID-19 drugs in the supply chain till the retail level.
6- Apart from Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, Pharma Secretary Sushri S Aparna, NPPA President Kamlesh Pant, Drug Controller General of India Dr VG Somani and representatives of pharmaceutical companies were present in the review meeting.
7- Cases of corona infection are increasing rapidly in China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand. The sub-variant BF.7 (BF.7) of the Omicron variant of Corona is responsible for most of the Covid cases in these countries.
8- Government sources say that in the next 40 days there may be a boom in the case of corona in India. In view of this, the Union Health Ministry is on alert and has stepped up the preparations.
9- Five cases of the BF.7 variant, a sub-variant of the Omicron variant, have been reported in the country since July. They have come from Gujarat and Odisha. All five patients had mild symptoms.
