The Meteorological Department has indicated a major change in the weather in Bihar after two days. The Meteorological Department believes that moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal will enter the north-eastern part of Bihar. At that time, there will be light rain along with thunder and dust storm. According to Bihar State Disaster Management Department, there are chances of sporadic rain in parts of Araria, Supaul, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar of North East Bihar during May 4 to May 6. At the same time, there are chances of sporadic rain in Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger and Khagaria of South East Bihar on May 5-6. Due to their influence, there is a possibility of change in the weather of southern parts including Patna and partial drop in temperature.
Heat wave alert in 17 districts
At the same time, a warning has been issued regarding the possibility of heat wave in Vaishali, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, Shivhar, Supaul, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Nawada, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Khagaria, Munger, Jamui and Banka districts of Bihar. The effect of heat wave will continue in 17 cities including Patna. Whereas, there is a possibility of hot days in Kishanganj and Gaya of the state. In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.9 degree Celsius in Sheikhpura while the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.0 degree Celsius in Pusa.
Yellow alert in these districts including Bhaglupar
As far as Friday is concerned, there is a possibility of heat wave in some places of Supaul and Araria district of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert, while a yellow alert has been issued for the possibility of heat wave at some places in Bhagalpur, Purnia, East Champaran, Sheikhpura Khagaria and Banka districts of the state. At other places the Meteorological Department has predicted a hot day. Talking about the month of April, in the month of April 2024, the highest average maximum temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Sheikhpura, while the highest average temperature of 44.9 degrees Celsius was recorded in Sheikhpura on April 30.
Kishanganj is the coldest district in the month of April
The lowest average minimum temperature in the month of April was 19.8 °C in Kishanganj, while the lowest average minimum temperature was 15.5 °C in Kishanganj on 2 April 2024. As far as Patna is concerned, the highest maximum temperature in Patna in the month of April was 42.8 degree Celsius recorded on 30 April, while the lowest minimum temperature was 20.8 degree Celsius recorded on 1 April 2024. In the month of April, heat wave conditions persisted for 10 days in the state, while Bhishma heat wave conditions lasted for 5 days and the heat night lasted for three days.

Talking about Patna, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38.8 degrees in 2020, 42.0 degrees in 2021, 43.0 degrees in 2022, 44.1 degrees in 2023 while 42.8 degrees Celsius in the year 2024.
