The ANTF unit of the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted two factories manufacturing narcotic drug (heroin) in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh and Hazaribagh in Jharkhand. Police have arrested five smugglers including Maulvi from different places. A total of 2.269 kg heroin, 1.053 kg raw material for making heroin, 50 kg soda powder, 3.201 kg chemical (chopped) and 500 gm liquid chemical and color have been recovered from their possession. The value of the recovered drugs is said to be more than Rs 5 crore in the international market.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Amit Goyal said that ANTF has launched a special operation against drug smugglers operating in Delhi. During the operation, SI Vishan Kumar posted in ANTF received secret information that a drug smuggler, Maulvi Atif Chhatta, resident of Bareilly UP, would come near Rail Chowk flyover area. Under the supervision of Inspector Rakesh Duhan, the team of SI Vishan Kumar and Vikasdeep, ASI Sanjay, Rajendra and Sunil laid siege under the railway flyover near Chhatta Rail Chowk, Delhi and caught the accused. One kilo of heroin was recovered from its bag. The accused told that the heroin was given to him by Ashraf of Bareilly, UP to deliver it to his receiver in Grain Market, Narela, Delhi. Police arrested him from a hospital in Bareilly.
Ashraf was admitted to the hospital due to a leg injury. He told that he was given heroin by Raju, Baira, Arif of Bareilly, Islam of Jahangirpuri and Armaan of JJ Colony, Bawana. After this the police team arrested the accused Arif Ali from his rented house in Bareilly, UP. He told that Rukhsar alias Raju of Bareilly, UP gives him heroin. The police team arrested Rukhsar Ali and exposed a factory from his house located in Sita Vihar, Madhyayu village, Thana Jankipuram, Lucknow. 200 grams of heroin and 1 kilogram of mixed substance, 500 grams of dye/mix color, 45 kilograms of soda were recovered from here. Equipment used to prepare heroin from raw material was recovered from his house.
Factory exposed in Jharkhand-
Police arrested Mohammad Mukhtar Ansari (45) from Hazari Bagh, Jharkhand after Rukhsar Ali’s revelations. The factory was running from his house in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. A total of 1035 grams of raw material, 359 grams of heroin, 1914 grams of cut/chemical, 5 kg of soda and an electronic weighing machine were recovered from his house.
Atif used to teach in madrassas…
Mohd Atif, resident of Bareilly, UP, used to teach in madrassas. He used to supply heroin to his Delhi-based suppliers at the behest of his boss Ashraf. Ashraf, a resident of Bareilly, UP, was an important person in the Jharkhand-Bareilly-Delhi syndicate. Arif Ali, resident of Bareilly UP, has done graduation. He started drug trafficking with his brother-in-law i.e. Islam. Ali alias Rukhsar alias Raju had started a peanut business in Punjab during the year 2018, but due to some financial issues he had to close it and turned to drug smuggling in the year 2018.
