Krafton ban multiple BGMI Teams Banned in BGIS 2024 Round 2 for cheating allegations

Krafton has recently banned four BGMI teams for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024. This step has been taken due to violation of the rules which are necessary to maintain fairness and competitive spirit of the game during the tournament.

Crafton his strict form

Last week, Krafton announced that Five Filter Esports, Instinct Outliers, Megastars Gaming and Tense Esports have been pulled out of BGIS 2024. These teams were accused of violating tournament rules, which was confirmed after investigation. The investigation found that these teams were using unauthorized software, which was giving them an unfair advantage in the game.

Crafton released a statement on its official Instagram account saying, “We are committed to maintaining a fair and competitive environment at BGIS 2024. “We regret that we have to announce an important decision that impacts the integrity and fairness of this competition.” Subsequently, Krafton also announced that the points earned by the banned teams would be distributed equally among the remaining teams in their groups. The purpose of this decision is to maintain competitive balance in the group and ensure that no team is unfairly disadvantaged by the exclusion of a competitor.

Many teams were thrown out of the tournament

However, the story of Krafton banning BGMI teams did not end there. The developers also detected fraud going on in the tournament during the second round of BGIS 2024 held between May 9 and May 12. Following the investigation, four more teams – U4G Esports, Unique Destiny Esports, ISO Esports and AlwaysnForever Esports – were expelled from the tournament. These teams were also accused of using unauthorized software and cheating. The points of these teams will also be distributed equally among the other teams of the group.
