Arjun told, ‘My credit card is only with me and I was working out in the gym. In the middle of a break I checked my phone and saw that there were lots of messages that my credit card had been swiped and there were continuous transactions going on. My wife also has a supplementary card, so when I asked her, she told that her card is with her. So it is clear that the details have been leaked and we were clueless as to how this happened.

’10 to 12 lakh was the limit’
After this Arjun immediately got his card blocked. Arjun said, ‘What if I was sleeping? Many people do not check all the messages from the bank. But I realized how important it is. I was lucky that I saw this in time and there were not many transactions. Each transaction was worth Rs 4 to 5 thousand and a total of Rs 40 thousand was withdrawn from me. My card has a limit of Rs 10 to 12 lakh. So this situation could have become worse if I had not checked my phone. I don’t understand how the transactions took place without any OTP. This is very scary. From now on I will change my credit card every 6 months. ‘Arjun has lodged a complaint in the cyber crime cell.
