A woman has filed a case against her husband, brother-in-law and seven in-laws at Galshaheed police station. In which the victim told that after returning from London, her brother-in-law molested her. When the woman complained about this to her husband, he gave her triple talaq.
A woman living in the Kotwali area told that on December 18, 2022, she was married to a young man resident of Galshaheed police station area. The victim alleges that after marriage, her husband and in-laws used to harass her for dowry.
When he protested, he was beaten up. It is alleged that the brother-in-law who came from London molested the victim. The woman alleges that when she complained about this matter to her husband, the latter gave her triple talaq and threw her out of the house.
On complaining, the accused made a compromise and took the victim to her in-laws’ house from the police station, but after a few months, the in-laws again started demanding a car. The husband tortured her in various ways. At 2 pm on April 14, the husband and in-laws locked her in a room and tried to kill her by burning her.
Galshaheed SO Saurabh Tyagi said that based on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against seven people including her husband under various sections including assault, dowry harassment, triple talaq, molestation, etc.
