Arvind Kejriwal’s statement: If I remain in jail, AAP will win 70 out of 70 seats in Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal Prediction: Lok Sabha Elections Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who came out of Tihar Jail for the 2024 campaign, has claimed that if he stays inside the jail and contests the elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will win all 70 seats of the Delhi Assembly in the next elections. Along with this, he has also clarified his stand on his wife Sunita Kejriwal contesting the elections.

Actually, the national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party gave an interview to India Today in which he was asked about Sunita Kejriwal contesting the elections, if he remains in jail, will his wife contest the elections. In response to this, he said, “No, she will not contest. If they keep me in jail. I will contest the elections from there and I am confident that we will win 70 out of 70 seats. The public will answer.”

He further said, “Put all our MLAs in jail and let the elections happen in Delhi. Do they think the public is stupid? They are watching everything.”

What did Kejriwal say on not resigning from the post of Chief Minister?

The Delhi CM said, “This is what Modiji wants. He knows that he cannot defeat me in Delhi and that is why this conspiracy has been hatched. If I resign, his next target will be Mamata Banerjee in Bengal, Pinarayi Vijayan in Kerala, MK Stalin in Tamil Nadu. They (BJP) want to arrest opposition leaders and topple their governments.”

“I am not power hungry”

The AAP supremo stressed that he does not crave power but it would “harm democracy” if he resigns. “I am not power hungry. I quit the post of income tax commissioner to work in slums. I quit the government after 49 days (in 2013) but it is a part of our struggle that I am not quitting the chief minister’s post this time,” he said.
