The court of Additional Sessions Judge/FTC II Mahendra Kumar Rawat of Hathras has sentenced the constable to 6 years imprisonment, declaring him guilty of firing a gun at the SO with the intention of killing him. Earlier, this constable had gone to jail on the charge of luring and threatening the SO’s daughter and running away with her. After being released from jail, the constable kept threatening to kill.
The SO had given a complaint in Sikandrarao police station. In the complaint it was said that on 4th December 2014 at around 7 in the evening a constable came on a motorcycle. He parked the motorcycle in the street and entered her house. When she objected, the constable pointed a pistol at him and said that today I will kill you and forcibly take your daughter with me. He fired at the SO from the pistol with the intention of killing him. On hearing the noise the SO’s son, brother and nephew came to the spot. Everybody caught the constable. They brought him to the police station.
The plaintiff was posted as SO in the Police Radio Department in a neighbouring district of Hathras district. This constable had abducted the daughter of the SO by luring and threatening her on 10 July 2014. The SO had registered a case in Etah in connection with this incident. The police had arrested this constable along with his daughter and the daughter was handed over to the SO on the orders of the court. The constable had gone to jail in this case. After being released from jail, the constable used to threaten the SO over mobile phone that he would kill him and forcibly take his daughter from the house. Due to this, on 4 December 2014, the constable fired at the SO with the intention to kill him.
In this case, a case was registered in Sikandrarao police station. The investigating officer conducted the investigation and filed a chargesheet in the court. The case was heard in the court of Additional Sessions Judge/FTC II Mahendra Kumar Rawat. After hearing both the parties in this case, the court convicted the accused constable and sentenced him to 6 years imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine on the accused. If the fine is not paid, the accused will have to undergo additional imprisonment.
