The Special Task Force (STF) arrested notorious Naxalite Rajkumar Singh alias Vijay Singh alias Shukla ji in a raid in Sikarhatta police station area of Bhojpur district. The arrested Naxalite is accused of carrying out several Naxalite incidents. These include the Naxalite attack on the house of MLC Rajan Singh in Sudi Bigha of Dev police station area of Aurangabad in 2018. In this attack, the MLC’s uncle was killed and vehicles parked in his residential complex were set on fire. Naxalite Rajkumar Singh had a role in this incident.
According to the information, the Charpokhari police station of Bhojpur has arrested an active Naxalite who was absconding for nine years for planting cylinder bombs. The accused has been identified as Raj Kumar alias Vijay Singh alias Shuklaji, a resident of Mathurapur village of Sahar police station area of Bhojpur. He has been arrested from Sikarhatta Kala village of Sikarhatta police station area with the help of STF. Along with Bhojpur, Aurangabad police was also looking for him. Naxal-related cases have been registered against him in Bhojpur, Gaya, Aurangabad and Arwal districts in the past. In 2019, the Aams police station of Gaya had also sent him to jail in a Naxalite case. It is being told that at present Naxalite Rajkumar Singh was the leader of Sandeep Yadav gang of Gaya district.
This information was given by SDPO Rahul Singh in a press conference at Charpokhari police station. He said that information was received that Naxalite Raj Kumar alias Vijay Singh alias Shukla, wanted in the Explosive Substances Act, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and CL Act registered earlier in Charpokhari police station, is hiding somewhere in Sikarhatta Kala village in an attempt to carry out some incident.
He said that a team was formed under the leadership of trainee DSP Kanhaiya Kumar and SHO Santosh Kumar for the arrest. The team immediately arrested him by raiding Sikarhatta Kala village with the help of STF and technical sources. He said that earlier, cases of murder in 2009 in Sahar police station, arms recovery in 2014, extortion in Charpokhari police station and more than a dozen Naxalite cases were registered against him in other police stations including Aams police station of Gaya.
