There was chaos in the Masrakh Community Health Center and the market when more than a dozen girls of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya located in Kawalpura village, about 6 km from Masrakh, suddenly fell ill and started falling. The incident is said to have happened late on Monday evening. All the girls were admitted to the Masrakh Community Health Center, where they were treated by the entire team including the on-duty doctors Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh and Dr. SK Vidyarthi. However, on receiving the information of the incident, BDO Pankaj Kumar of Masrakh, BEO Dr. Veena Kumari, Additional SHO of Masrakh Police Station Sunil Kumar reached with the force and informed the district level officials about the matter and also enquired about the condition of the girls from the doctors.

Girls fell ill due to extreme heat

Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, Medical Officer of Masrakh Community Health Center, said that at present there is severe heat due to which the school girls were unable to bear it. Suddenly all the girls started vomiting and fell unconscious due to high fever. In a hurry, the teachers brought them to Masrakh Hospital where they were treated by the entire team including Dr Chandrashekhar Singh and Dr SK Vidyarthi posted on duty. The doctors told that when the children came, they were in a completely critical condition but were cured by immediate treatment.

Girls started falling suddenly in the evening

Teachers of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya say that all the students were fed chuda, milk and sweets in the morning. At that time all the girls were fine. But late in the evening suddenly the girls started falling unconscious. Somehow, 8 year old Beauty Kumari, Manisha Kumari and Jyoti Kumari, 7 year old Nisha Kumari and Sonali Kumari, 6 year old Chinta Kumari, Roshni Kumari, Khushi Kumari, Anni Kumari, Nandini Kumari, Khushboo Kumari, Amrita Kumari, Sandhya Kumari and about one and a half dozen children were brought to the hospital in a sick condition. But the entire team of the health department reached the school in a hurry and heaved a sigh of relief only after treating all the school girls and curing them completely. However, when the girls were brought to the hospital in an unconscious state, there was chaos in the hospital and the market.
