Women attendants created a ruckus alleging that the daal given to the patients admitted in the district hospital of Tajnagri Agra contained worms. The women attendants complained to the medical superintendent, following which the daal was thrown away and four people were served notices and asked for a reply.

On Tuesday afternoon, food was given to the patients admitted in the district hospital located at Sai Ki Takiya. Insects were seen floating in the lentils in the diet of lentils, roti and vegetables. The women attending to them allege that there were worms in the lentils.

She reached the Chief Medical Superintendent Rajendra Kumar Arora with burnt rotis and dal and created a ruckus. He assured the women to take appropriate action in this matter. Later the dal was thrown away.

Private company supplies food

A private company supplies food for patients in the district hospital. The employees of this company prepare the food in the district hospital itself and then give it to the patients, but before giving this food, the dietician and other officials of the district hospital check this food. The employees of the private company gave this food to the patients admitted in the wards and their attendants, after which there was an uproar when worms were found in the pulses.

Many relatives get it from home

Small children are admitted in the NRC ward of the district hospital. Here, the caretakers Sangeeta and Renu told that they get burnt rotis to eat and the vegetables and dal are very bad. The food here is bad, so we order it from home. After seeing worms in the dal, we felt it necessary to inform the officials.

Show cause notice issued

Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Rajendra Kumar Arora said that some women had come with a complaint of worms in the pulses. He has issued a show cause notice to the dietician, two cooks and the food supply company and has sought an explanation. Action will be taken after receiving their reply. The stock of pulses has been removed.
